Tampa Bay Airport - Two Thumbs Up
Good airport. Short lines, even on Memorial Day weekend.
The car rental was on the airport right across from baggage claim. The cars are right behind the rental office.
Access to the freeway is easy and close.

For-purchase Meal Programs on Airlines
I don't know how many airlines are doing this now, it is difficult to glean the information from their web sites, but I had to either buy food on my Memorial day 5 hour flight from Atlanta to San Jose on Delta Airlines or go hungry. (Not counting the bag of 4 or 5 minature pretzels that was served with my beverage).
I don't think that I care for this policy. Some basic food should be served on a flight that long. I am captive in their plane. I can't drive through McDonald's (not that I would eat at McDonalds anyway, but that is a differnt Blog).
I do like the idea of being able to purchase additional food, however.
I can understand having no food on a in-expensive one hour flight to vegas, but a 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM flight?
And it's expensive too. A sandwich was $8 (one purchased right outside the gate was $6).
Plus, you know the people in first class are eating great food up there. (I know this becuase I used to be queen of American Airlines - my favorite airline - back when i used to travel for business.) It doesn't make sense for the average person to fly first class just for a bit more room, attention, free alcohol & fancier food.
Flying is tough enough these days. Between late fights, pat downs and searches in airports, havinf to remove articles of clothing just to get to the gate, and having to sit in a very small space (I am 5'8"), is to too much to ask for a little more food pampering?

Rude People Part 1 - Stopping in the Middle of Traffic
OK, this is one of the most frustrating things about people in airports.
They stop and talk right in the middle of on-going traffic. This can happen anywhere but frequently violations occur during deplaning. As soon as a passenger sees the waiting friend or relative, they stop. Never mind the line of people behind them that need to continue on. Do they not realize that there is an entire plane-load of people behind them?
